Antique Primitive Pine Step-Back Cupboard | Circa 1880–1910

Regular price $1,200.00

A beautifully timeworn antique pine step-back cupboard, rich with the character of generations past. Its generous proportions, substantial molded crown, open display shelves, and paneled lower doors reflect the simplicity and utility of traditional country furniture.

The upper section provides open shelving for collected pottery, antique books, stoneware, and everyday treasures, while the lower two-door cabinet offers enclosed storage with an interior shelf. Remnants of aged red paint inside the lower cabinet add an unexpected layer of color and history.

Constructed with a plank back, visible nail fastenings, and a charming scalloped base, this cupboard brings warmth and architectural presence to a country kitchen, pantry, dining room, or collected interior.

Condition:

Antique condition with substantial age-related wear and patina throughout. Surface scratches, scuffs, finish loss, discoloration, wood checking, and gaps between planks are present. The back displays weathering, splits, and separation between boards, with visible wear around the upper corner. The lower cabinet retains heavily worn red interior paint, and the upper shelves show staining and evidence of previous use. Please review all photographs for details.
