That Old Thing

Circa 1900 Wm. Bayliff Liverpool Billiards & Snooker Scoreboard

Regular price $895.00

Circa 1900 English mahogany wall-mounted billiards and snooker scoring cabinet by William Bayliff, 15 Houghton St., Liverpool. Crafted in richly finished wood, the scoreboard features sliding numbered scoring tracks from 1–20 and 81–100, a central slate panel, and individual color markers labeled White, Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink, and Spot White.

Turned scoring markers and contrasting black-and-gold number and color plaques give the piece a particularly handsome graphic quality. Originally designed as a functional scoring board for a billiards or snooker room, it is also an exceptional example of early English sporting décor.
