Early 20th Century Cast Iron Corn Sheller Lamp

Regular price $395.00

A striking piece of agricultural Americana, this sculptural lamp incorporates an antique cast iron hand-crank corn sheller marked HS2, associated with Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. of Chicago.

Dating to the early 20th century, the original sheller retains its wonderfully substantial cast iron construction, exposed gears, hand crank, and aged wooden handle. The mechanism has been mounted to a solid wood base and thoughtfully repurposed as a table lamp, preserving the character of the original implement while giving it an entirely new function.

An unusual statement piece with a strong primitive and industrial presence, perfect for a study, library, country kitchen, or collected interior.

Condition: Antique corn sheller with age-appropriate wear, patina, oxidation, and surface variation throughout. Wooden crank handle shows significant natural wear. Later converted into a lamp and mounted to a wood base. Lamp components and shade are not original to the sheller. Please review photos for condition.
